OREANDA-NEWS. As of today, the first Money Market Paper can be traded on the Swiss stock exchange. With this admission, SIX Swiss Exchange is expanding its offering in the bond segment.

Last year, SIX Swiss Exchange reduced the issuing and listing fees for Bonds[pdf] with a duration not exceeding one year to maturity, thus increasing its attractiveness as a listing location for Money Market Papers. The new offering aroused the interest of issuers and is now used with the listing of the first Money Market Paper on the Swiss stock exchange.

Ueli Goldener, Head Fixed Income Product Management at SIX Swiss Exchange, is pleased that the new offering is appreciated by the customers: "Thanks to the close collaboration with our customers, we have been able to react flexibly to new market needs and find a pragmatic solution for the listing of Money Market Papers, which is now actively used."

Bond market at SIX Swiss Exchange

SIX Swiss Exchange offers a large and truly international bond market. More than half of the over 1'700 listed bonds have been issued by foreign issuers from around 50 jurisdictions on all five continents. In addition, there are over 3'600 international bonds admitted to trading on the Swiss stock exchange. SIX Swiss Exchange also calculates the Swiss Bond Index (SBI), the reference index for CHF-denominated bonds, and uses SIX Corporate Bonds to boost the liquidity of trading in corporate bonds.
