OREANDA-NEWS  The Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg has fined Lyudmila Telen, first deputy executive director of the Yeltsin Center, for an article on discrediting the Russian Armed Forces, an Interfax correspondent reported from the courtroom.

"To find Lyudmila Olegovna Telen guilty of committing an administrative offense and impose an administrative penalty in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 45 thousand rubles," the judge said.

Telen's lawyer, Mikhail Biryukov, filed a motion to postpone the hearing of the case to Moscow, but the court refused to do so. He also filed a motion to terminate the administrative proceedings due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The calf itself did not come to court. According to Biryukov, she is in Moscow and, since the court notice was sent too late, "she did not have the technical opportunity to come here and urgently review her work plans."

Biryukov told the court that the Calf did not admit guilt.

"This emotional statement was made as a repost of a text by Tatiana Borisovna Yumasheva. In Lyudmila Olegovna's repost, as in the post itself, initially there is not a word about the Russian army, there is no criticism of the special military operation or anyone in this regard. Lyudmila Olegovna is deeply offended by the very suggestion that she, the daughter and granddaughter of Soviet army generals, wanted to discredit the army," the lawyer said.

Biryukov told reporters that there were no complaints about Yumasheva herself for this post.

"No, there were no complaints about Yumasheva herself for this post. (...) I attribute this to the fact that Lyudmila Telen holds an official position at the Yeltsin Center, is the first deputy head, Tatyana Yumasheva does not hold official positions in the Yeltsin Center staff," the lawyer said.

The court's decision will be appealed, Biryukov added.

Earlier it was reported that a report was drawn up on the Body under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code (public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Russian Armed Forces).
