At the same time, 33 percent replied that their companies were going to stay with the old tax regime, while 31 percent would choose a different regime. However, both the former and the latter are going to shift the increase in costs to customers. At the same time, 11 percent agree to temporarily reduce profits in order to save customers. The other 12 percent fear that the tax reform will force them to cease operations.
In addition, 75 percent of respondents believe that the tax changes will have the greatest impact on retail trade. Cargo transportation (43 percent) and public services (20 percent) were also at high risk.
Earlier, the head of the Bank of Russia, Elvira Nabiullina, said that an increase in value-added tax would affect inflation at the end of this year and the beginning of next year.
