OREANDA-NEWS According to the results of the first 11 months of 2025, the cumulative loss of Russian companies reached 7.5 trillion rubles, which was the maximum for the entire observation period. This is reported by Izvestia with reference to Rosstat data provided in the report "Socio-economic situation of Russia".

The share of unprofitable enterprises increased to 28.8 percent, which was the highest value since the pandemic in 2020. In total, 18.2 thousand companies faced losses. In 2024, for the same period, the total loss was about seven trillion rubles, and in 2023 — about four trillion.

The Ministry of Economic Development explained that export-oriented industries are facing declining demand, increased competition and a slowdown in the global economy. In the domestic market, the high key rate of the Central Bank puts pressure on business profitability, which leads to a reduction in demand and a decrease in investment in production development.
