OREANDA-NEWS   Germans are increasingly expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that the government continues to provide assistance to Kiev. German citizens are in favor of stopping pumping weapons into Ukraine, said Steffen Kotre, a member of the Bundestag Committee on Economics and energy from the German opposition Alternative for Germany party, RIA Novosti reports.

"Discontent is growing. The string of miscalculations of the German government and the squandering of taxpayers' money are pushing people to support opposition parties," he said.

Cotre also stressed that the results of the recent regional elections in Germany showed that more and more Germans want to stop pumping Kiev with military aid.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine's financial support puts a huge burden on the EU budget. This was stated by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. At the same time, a number of analysts note that Ukraine cannot cover its financial needs on its own, and tax increases cannot help it.
