OREANDA-NEWS  The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it is preparing to introduce a new type of weapon, which it called the "father of all bombs," according to Iranian media.

"We are at the stage of preparing for the presentation of the "father of all bombs". This is something new for the enemy," said IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi.

He did not provide details about the new type of weapon that Iran has acquired.

Earlier, American media reported, citing sources, that US President Donald Trump ordered the development of plans to attack Iran's energy infrastructure using the so-called "mother of all bombs" - the largest non-nuclear aerial bomb in the US arsenal - in case he ordered the resumption of hostilities.
