OREANDA-NEWS Russians withdrew 1.6 trillion rubles from Russian bank accounts and cards in January of this year, which was the highest since March 2022, RIA Novosti calculated based on data from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

According to the calculations, Russians in January 2026 withdrew 1.6 trillion rubles from accounts in Russian banks, which was a record since March 2022, when Russians withdrew about 2.2 trillion rubles.

Moreover, this trend is also observed in foreign banks, where Russians withdrew about 240 billion rubles in January.
