OREANDA-NEWS  The situation on the Russian car market is stabilizing — prices for cars did not change in September, and their excess stocks are decreasing, as well as discounts provided to customers. This assessment is contained in the bulletin "What the trends say" published on the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

"At the same time, sales remain quite high," the Central Bank noted. They also pointed out that the new rules for calculating the recycling fee in the coming months will have an inflationary impact on the economy. "As it happened before, the transfer to prices is highly likely to be time—distributed and incomplete," the authors emphasized.

On the eve it became known that the entry into force of changes related to recycling was postponed for a month, until December 1, due to the high demand for foreign cars.

During the first nine months of 2025, new car sales in Russia fell by 22 percent, to 896,000 units. In September, the decrease was 19 percent.
