The National Bank of Ukraine estimated export losses from the cancellation of trade privileges with the EU

OREANDA-NEWS Losses of Ukrainian exports from the end of the trade privileges regime with the EU in 2025 will amount to about $ 800 million, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Serhiy Nikolaichuk said on Thursday.
Earlier, European Commission representative Olaf Zil said at a rally in Brussels that the EC would not extend duty-free imports of goods from Ukraine to the EU after June 5 and was exploring other support opportunities.
"Starting from June 6, trade preferences provided by the European Union will cease to work for us.… According to our estimates, net export losses, taking into account the continuation of trade in excess of quotas and the reorientation to the markets of other countries during June - December this year, will amount to about $ 800 million," Nikolaychuk said at a briefing broadcast on the National Bank's website.
