OREANDA-NEWS  Since the beginning of 2026, the total wealth of the richest Russian businessmen has decreased by a total of about 176 million dollars. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the updated Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) rating.

Pavel Durov, co-founder of the Telegram messenger, suffered the greatest losses by the beginning of April. Its total capital sank by $2.23 billion to $12.2 billion.

The top 3 most impoverished Russian entrepreneurs also included businessman Alisher Usmanov (minus 1.38 billion dollars, up to 17.9 billion) and the head of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin (minus 1.33 billion, up to 25.1 billion). The fortune of Severstal CEO Alexei Mordashov, in turn, decreased by $1.23 billion to $25 billion.

The combined wealth of Russian billionaires has been falling for the second month in a row. By the end of February, the total capital of the richest citizens of the Russian Federation decreased by $ 8.73 billion, to $309.75 billion. At the beginning of the year, the opposite trend was observed. In January, the capital of the richest Russian businessmen immediately added $ 19.4 billion.
