Sharapova chose the first Grand Slam tournament final, Wimbledon 2004, where she was 17 years old. "The whole world was watching. I was playing with Serena Williams, and it seemed like I should have just been happy about that fact, but I was very fearless," said the Russian, who won her first major title at the time.
According to the athlete, she really liked this tournament and the local audience. "I loved eating strawberries and cream before every match. Although I wasn't allowed to eat cream," she shared.
Sharapova is the winner of 39 tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), in 2005 she was the first racket of the world. Over the years, the athlete has won all the Grand Slam tournaments. In 2012, the Russian won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in London.
