I was playing with Serena Williams, and it seemed like I should have just been happy about that fact, but I was very fearless," said the Russian, who won her first major title at the time.
According to the athlete, she really liked this tournament and the local audience. "I loved eating strawberries and cream before every match. Although I wasn't allowed to eat cream," she shared.
