The Bosnians finished third in Group B with four points from three matches. They entered the top eight of the third-placed teams in their respective groups, which gave them the right to qualify for the playoffs. This became possible after the Scottish national team, which is third in the C quartet, lost to Brazil with a score of 0:3.
In the match of the final round of Group B, the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina faced the Qatar team. The match ended with a 3-1 victory for the Balkan team.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is taking place in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The Russian national team does not participate in it, as it has been suspended from international competitions since 2022.
