OREANDA-NEWS The office of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia will be restored in Krasnodar, the Belarusian ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy said.

According to the Belta news agency, he made this statement at a working meeting on the implementation of the points of the roadmap for cooperation between Belarus and the Krasnodar Territory, which took place on August 10 in video mode. "There is a decision of the Russian government to open a branch of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the city of Krasnodar, which we are now working hard on," Krutoy said.

At the same time, he noted that the embassy's office had previously operated in Krasnodar, then it was relocated to the center of the Southern Federal District of Rostov-on-Don, so it's more about the restoration of the Belarusian diplomatic institution rather than the opening. "This is a very good decision that will contribute to our trade, economic, humanitarian and cultural ties with the region," the ambassador stressed.

Krasnodar Krai will become the 12th Russian region where the Belarusian diplomatic mission will operate. The Consulate General of Belarus is currently operating in St. Petersburg, and offices of the Belarusian Embassy are located in Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Kazan, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok.
