OREANDA-NEWS  A powerful 5.2 magnitude earthquake has occurred in Kamchatka. This is reported on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The tremors were recorded on Friday, September 19, at 20:06 Moscow time (05:06 Saturday, September 20, local time). Their epicenter was located 167 kilometers east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 30 kilometers. No damage or casualties were reported as a result of the disaster.

Earlier in the day, it became known that cracks appeared on the walls of schools in Kamchatka after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
