OREANDA-NEWS  The central election headquarters of Russian presidential candidate Vladimir Putin received signatures in support of him from 13 more regions, a total of 1.3 million were collected.

The documents were submitted by Bashkiria, Mari El, Mordovia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia and Udmurtia, Kirov, Orenburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions and Perm Krai.

Before that, volunteers delivered signatures from 45 regions to the Central Headquarters.

"To date, we have collected about 1,300,000 signatures in support of our candidate for the post of President of Russia, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin," Mariana Lysenko, co—chairman of the staff, head physician of the capital's hospital No. 52, told reporters.

She recalled that volunteers began delivering the first signatures on December 30, and in general the collection will last until the end of January. The documents are being processed now.

"It will continue now, and let's hope that this figure will increase," Lysenko added.

The Federation Council has scheduled elections for March 17, 2024. The voting will last for three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
