OREANDA-NEWS Adam, the 17-year-old son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, was awarded a commemorative medal in honor of the 25th anniversary of the OMON Akhmat-Grozny. Kadyrov Sr. announced this on the Telegram channel.
The 25th anniversary of the formation of OMON Akhmat-Grozny was celebrated on May 12. In honor of this, a solemn formation and an award ceremony were held. In addition to Adam Kadyrov, Deputy OMON commander Ramzan Dadayev, who received the Kadyrov Order, was also awarded at the ceremony.
"I would like to emphasize the contribution of the unit's fighters to achieving the goals and objectives of the special military operation. AKHMAT-Grozny OMON officers have been in the war zone since the first days. In a short time, we have managed to establish ourselves as one of the most effective and combat—ready units that can handle tasks of any complexity," Kadyrov wrote.
He stressed that the detachment has rightfully earned respect as a professional unit, and its fighters are distinguished by high training, loyalty to duty and impeccable performance of official tasks.
On April 23, it became known that Adam Kadyrov had become Secretary of the Chechen Security Council. Prior to that, the 17-year-old son of the head of Chechnya was appointed curator of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and head of the security service of the head of Chechnya.
