AvtoVAZ told what cars it will change prices for

OREANDA-NEWS AvtoVAZ may change prices for more expensive and less popular modifications of its cars, and prices for more budget cars will remain the same, the company told RBC.
"AvtoVAZ does not plan to raise prices for the most localized, basic and budget versions of its cars. For example, the cost of basic modifications of Lada Grants will remain below 700 thousand rubles. Some adjustment of prices for more equipped modifications is possible, primarily due to the completion of their additional options, including those received from foreign suppliers and some domestic suppliers who receive sub-components and raw materials from abroad," the report says.
The company called the possible price adjustment for expensive and less massive modifications "minimal" and noted that it is not related to the indexation of the recycling fee, which is leveled by state support measures. AvtoVAZ itself was in favor of his promotion.
Both importers of foreign cars and Russian manufacturers pay for the recycling of cars after their operation. Since August 1, it has grown for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses imported for resale. The indexation ranged from 1.7 to 3.7 times, depending on the type of vehicle and engine capacity. As Autonews noted, cars of Russian manufacturers will not actually be affected by the increase in scrap collection due to compensation from the state, but it will affect cars imported by parallel import.
