OREANDA-NEWS BELTA informs that the Armed Forces of Belarus have begun their trainings on combat readiness. Military personnel are being trained in order to transit from peacetime to wartime in case of such a necessety. This information has been introduced by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.

It is noted that combat readiness classes were organized after another conscription and undergoing an initial military training program by newcomers. Various categories of military personnel, divisions, military units, formations and military command and control bodies will undergo a series of trainings aimed at "implementing measures to transfer from peacetime to wartime", the department said.

The ministry added that the training is being conducted in accordance with the training plan for the Armed Forces in the 2021-2022 academic year.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko assessed military power of the republic and concluded that it was quite capable of resisting the largest countries. According to his words, in modern conditions, the outcome of hostilities does not depend so much on the size of the army but on its professionalism.
