OREANDA-NEWS US President Joe Biden arrived in Israel amid the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, his plane landed at Ben-Gurion Airport, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Biden will visit Israel on October 18. He planned on Wednesday, after visiting Israel, to meet in Amman with King Abdullah II of Jordan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the head of the PNA Mahmoud Abbas, but the visit to the Jordanian capital was canceled after the attack on a hospital in the Gaza Strip.

According to a RIA Novosti correspondent, the American leader's plane landed at the Israeli airport around 10:50 local time.

As follows from the official broadcast, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Yitzhak Herzog meet Biden at the airport.
