OREANDA-NEWS  British Defense Minister John Healey has addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin with a message about the conflict in Ukraine. His words are quoted by Sky News.

"Today our message to Moscow from Liverpool is this: President Putin, you will not win. (...) Agree to peace," Healy said, speaking at the Labor Party congress.

The head of the British military department added that he considers the security of Ukraine to be an integral component of the security of the UK itself, and stressed that London would continue to support Kiev.

Earlier, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said that Russia needs to "wake up and accept reality." He added that the position of the American administration on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine has not changed, and Washington will continue to work to achieve peace.
