OREANDA-NEWS  The High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, accused Russia of faking negotiations on Ukraine. She stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"Russia resolutely opposes peace. We see how the Russians say one thing, but in fact they are bombing Ukraine and do not agree to a cease—fire, whereas Ukraine agreed to an unconditional cease-fire a year ago," she said.

According to the head of the European diplomacy, the EU should force Moscow to find itself in a situation where it will change its calculations and move from simulating negotiations to negotiating an end to this war. She also expressed regret that the process is not at this point yet.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that the dates of the next meetings on Ukraine have not yet been determined, but Russia is ready to resume them. He also stressed that the EU's position on negotiations seriously hinders progress in the dialogue.
