OREANDA-NEWS  On Monday, February 28, Cyprus closed air traffic with Russia. This is reported by TASS with reference to the NOTAM data.

The Agency noted that one of the Russian airlines received operational information about changes in the rules of flight (NOTAM).

"All aircraft owned by Russian airlines or chartered by them are prohibited from taking off, landing or flying over the territory of Cyprus," the message says. The exceptions are humanitarian and air rescue flights, as well as the return of flights for leased aircraft with the appropriate permission of the air authorities of Cyprus, specified in NOTAM.
