OREANDA-NEWS   Departmental security officers will be able to shoot down drones from March 30 if they consider them a threat to the protected object. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the federal law of December 29, 2022 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Weapons" has already entered into force. According to the document, departmental security is allowed to "stop the presence of unmanned aircraft in the airspace in order to repel attacks on protected objects, employees of departmental security or persons located at these objects."

The law also says that it is possible to shoot down drones with the help of technical means of suppression, acting on the control panels of drones.

Earlier it was reported that suspects or accused of crimes in Russia will not be issued a license to purchase weapons from March 30. In addition, the law prohibits the issuance of licenses for weapons released by the court from criminal liability for committing a crime with the imposition of a fine.

Prior to that, it was reported that the Ministry of Finance of Russia proposed to create a state information system for the control of arms trafficking and the management of security services.
