OREANDA-NEWS  The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has sent requests to more than 90 producers of raw milk in order to analyze the state of competition in the market, the agency said.

"The FAS will analyze the state of competition in the raw milk market. The service has sent requests to more than 90 manufacturers," the report says.

It is noted that organizations should provide information on the main indicators of financial and economic activities for the production and sale of raw milk: the system, regions and sales volumes, as well as information on weighted average selling prices, cost and profitability of products for 2022-2024.

In turn, the agency, based on the data obtained, will assess the state of competition in order to identify economic entities that occupy a dominant position in the raw milk markets. In addition, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation will analyze the validity of the wholesale and selling prices they set.
"If there are grounds, the service will take antitrust response measures," they added.
