OREANDA-NEWS For the first time, drone operators of the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed a new self-propelled artillery system (ACS) DITA manufactured in the Czech Republic. This is reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
According to the Lost Armour portal, the ACS, the prototype of which was presented in 2021, was destroyed in the Kharkiv region. DITA was attacked at night by two KVN kamikaze drones with fiber-optic control. The first drone disabled the car, and the second caused a fire.
The DITA long-range howitzer was a further development of the Czechoslovak DANA system. Mounted on a four-axle Tatra T815-7 chassis, it carries a 155-millimeter cannon with a maximum firing range of 39 kilometers. Fire control is provided by the M4 system, which allows one crew member to fire. The 400 horsepower engine provides maximum highway speed of up to 90 kilometers per hour.
In September, it became known that the Russian Defense Ministry had tested a new aerosol-forming projectile that surpasses the LU217M smoke munition of the French Caesar self-propelled guns.
