OREANDA-NEWS  It is important for Russia to increase the production of medicines and expand their range so that citizens across the country are provided with domestic medicines, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

At a government meeting on Thursday, he mentioned that as part of the implementation of the pharmaceutical industry development strategy, the Cabinet of Ministers this year updated the list of strategically important medicines.

"It is important to continue increasing production volumes and expanding the range of Russian pharmaceutical companies so that our citizens are reliably and efficiently provided with domestic medicines both in large cities and in small towns," Mishustin stressed.
