OREANDA-NEWS Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, has opened a case against a retired justice of the peace from Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR). About this "Tape.<url>" was reported in the press service of the department.

We are talking about the judge of the judicial district No. 7 of the Nalchik judicial district, Mukhamed Tembotov. Previously, he received bribes through intermediaries.

According to investigators, in the period from November 2024 to May 2025, Tembotov, along with assistant judge Elena Rashidova and court secretary Marianna Karasova, repeatedly received bribes from participants in the proceedings. The bribe-givers transferred sums from 10 to 100 thousand rubles to the judge for making favorable decisions on administrative cases. In May 2025, Tambotov and Karasova were detained by FSB officers after receiving a bribe.

Earlier, the Higher Qualification Board of Judges of Russia, on behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Court Igor Krasnov, sent materials to the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the judge of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court Viktor Fomin.
