OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, the conditions for entering the service in the internal affairs bodies have been simplified, said Irina Volk, a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. She recalled that this is due to the fact that Law No. 436-FZ came into force on August 4.

In particular, the age restrictions for those who come to serve for the first time have changed. Previously, it was possible to enter the ministry for service up to 35 or 40 years, depending on the position being filled.

"Currently, the age limits for entering the service are determined depending on the special rank assigned when entering the service. For example, when assigning special ranks to ordinary and junior commanding officers, the age limit for entering the service is 50 years, special ranks of middle and senior commanding officers, with the exception of colonel ranks, are 55 years old," said Wolf.

The institution of personal surety in relation to citizens entering the service has been excluded from practice.

"The changes will also affect those who have previously served in positions providing for the assignment of special or military ranks, and enter the service of the internal affairs bodies to perform special tasks or tasks in special conditions. For such citizens, it is possible to conclude contracts for up to one year without a probationary period," said Volk.

In addition, employees who were injured during the performance of tasks in special conditions and were found unfit for health reasons to serve in the internal Affairs bodies will be able to continue their service in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Those of them who wish to continue their service, have been awarded state awards of the Russian Federation for performing tasks in special conditions and are combat veterans, can be appointed to individually selected positions," Wolf summed up.
