OREANDA-NEWS The American TV channel CBS for the first time released a video showing the terrorists who took part in the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. The footage shows people hijacking planes that subsequently flew into the twin Towers in New York.

The video shows terrorists Nawaf Al-Hazmi and Khalid Al-Midhar at a party that allegedly took place in San Diego in the winter of 2000. The footage, according to the channel, features a Saudi citizen Omar al-Bayoumi, suspected of helping prepare for terrorist attacks. It is noted that the video came to the disposal of the British police about two weeks after September 11, 2001, while up to the current moment it has not been published.

On September 11, 2001, suicide bombers of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger planes in the United States, sending two of them to the symbol of business New York — the World Trade Center towers, and the other two to the Pentagon and, presumably, to the White House or the Capitol. All planes, except the last one, reached their targets. The fourth hijacked plane crashed in a field near the town of Shanksville in Pennsylvania.

The victims of the terrorist attacks were 2,977 people, including 343 firefighters and 60 police officers. Not only US citizens were killed, but 92 other states. In New York, 2,753 people became victims of the terrorist attack, 184 people in the Pentagon, 40 people crashed in Pennsylvania.
