OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Minsk on Monday, December 19, and meet there with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Pool of the First", which is close to the press service of the leader of Belarus.

As it became known to journalists, within the framework of the visit, politicians are scheduled to have a wide-ranging conversation with the participation of prime ministers and some ministers. It will be devoted to integration issues within the Union State.

Then Putin and Lukashenko will continue negotiations in a one-on-one format. The discussion will focus on issues of trade and economic cooperation and joint projects in the field of import substitution and energy.

"[the heads of state] will also pay priority attention to security issues, exchange views on the situation in the region and the world, and discuss joint measures to respond to emerging challenges," the message reads.

A possible meeting between Putin and Lukashenko in December was previously reported by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov. He did not name the exact dates, indicating that the event has not been fully agreed.
