OREANDA-NEWS The Special Military Operation (SVO) achieves its goals. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

"[ITS] goals are being achieved and, undoubtedly, this process will be completed successfully," the Foreign Minister stressed.

Lavrov also appreciated the calls for an immediate truce between Russia and Ukraine. He expressed the opinion that this is contrary to Moscow's interests.

Earlier, the Kremlin rejected the idea of the American leader Donald Trump to freeze the front line. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that the sequence of the Russian Federation's position has not changed.
