OREANDA-NEWS The widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) endangers the jobs of millions of people, creating prerequisites for a significant increase in unemployment and disruption of international labor division chains. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, warned about this, excerpts from an article published by The Expert.
"Nobel Prize—winning economist Robert Shiller emphasized that automation and the digital economy will lead to massive structural unemployment, which we cannot yet adequately assess," says the article, the full version of which is promised to be published in the magazine on March 12.
Noting that AI is one of the five key technologies that will change the future of humanity, Medvedev at the same time stressed that, for example, situations are possible when a neural network deliberately provokes disruptions in the processes it controls.
