OREANDA-NEWS The situation in the Russian economy is completely under control, said Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
Novak held a meeting on the economic situation. The discussion was attended by Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development, representatives of relevant departments, as well as the expert community.
"Following the meeting, Alexander Novak noted that the economic situation remains fully under control and instructed to continue monitoring key macroeconomic indicators in order to respond to external and internal challenges in a timely manner," the government said in a statement.
As previously reported by the Ministry of Economic Development, in May 2026, GDP growth continued and amounted to 0.3% in annual terms. In the first 5 months of 2026, the economy grew by 0.2%.
