Pensions will be increased for some categories of Russians

OREANDA-NEWS In September, pensions will be increased for the disabled of the first group, for Russians who have reached the age of 80, as well as for pensioners who stopped working in August. Alexey Govyrin, a member of the State Duma Committee on SMEs, named the categories of citizens to whom payments will be increased, as quoted by TASS.
According to the deputy, if a pensioner turns 80 in August, then from September he will begin to receive a doubled fixed part of the insurance pension — 17,815 rubles 40 kopecks instead of 8,907 rubles 70 kopecks. The citizen will receive this amount without taking into account additional payments and regional coefficients. 1,314 rubles per month will be added for pensioners who have been cared for, and another 1,377 rubles will be added for those who receive government payments.
Govyrin also noted that any recalculations begin on the first day of the month following the month in which legally significant circumstances occurred. Therefore, the legal surcharges come into force in the first month of autumn.
Pensions for the disabled of the first group will also increase — they will also be paid double the fixed part of the insurance pension. If there are dependents, this amount will increase by 2,969 rubles (23 kopecks) for each disabled family member. Those who stopped working in August will begin to receive an indexed pension amount — recalculation is carried out automatically, and the new pension amount is set from the month following their dismissal.
Earlier, Govyrin said that the average pension in Russia today is 23,448 rubles per month. This amount consists of two components: pension points and a fixed payment.
As previously noted in the Social Fund, by the beginning of July 2025, the average pension in Russia amounted to almost 23.5 thousand rubles. Since the beginning of the year, this figure has increased by 281 rubles. At the same time, the average pension of working pensioners is less than the social benefits for unemployed senior citizens. If the first one is 21,115 rubles per month, then the second one reaches almost 24 thousand rubles.
