OREANDA-NEWS  Russian tourist trips to popular tourist countries increased by 16 percent in 2025. This was reported in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) with reference to the data of the FSB Border Guard Service.

It is specified that during this period, Russians began to visit Vietnam, Egypt, China, South Korea, Maldives, Indonesia, Abkhazia, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Turkey more often. Japan showed phenomenal growth of 96.3 percent outside the top ten, ATOR added.

The source also says that in 2025, compatriots made 2.77 million more trips abroad than in 2024. Almost all demand remains concentrated mainly in the same mass areas.

Earlier it became known that the Russians set an absolute record for visits to Japan. In 2025, about 200,000 compatriots visited this Asian country.
