OREANDA-NEWS. The head of the Government of National Accord (GNA) of Libya, Fayez al-Sarraj, refused to meet with the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar. Currently, they both are in Moscow.

According to the Al Arabiya channel, the refusal of al-Sarraj to meet with Haftar was announced by the head of the Libyan High Council of State, Khalid al-Mishri. The politician noted that representatives of the GNA are negotiating with the Russian and Turkish parties.

Earlier, it became known that the Foreign and Defense Ministers of Russia and Turkey intend to discuss ways to resolve the conflict in Libya. Representatives of the warring parties arrived in the Russian capital to participate in the negotiations.
