OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2012. Vladimir Putin will meet on October 10 with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who will be making a working visit to Russia at Mr Putin’s invitation.

The two leaders will discuss developing Russian-Iraqi cooperation in the political, trade and economic, and humanitarian spheres.

Talks will focus in particular on expanding investment cooperation between the countries and on Russian companies’ participation in carrying out big joint projects, especially in the energy sector.

The two leaders will also exchange views on the main issues on the international agenda, particularly developments in the Middle East and the situation in Syria.
