OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi discussed situation in the Persian Gulf region and Libya during a telephone conversation.

“At the initiative of the Indian side, a telephone conversation took place between President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi… They touched on a number of pressing international topics, including the situation in the Persian Gulf region and in Libya,” the statement of the Kremlin press service says.

It is added that when discussing questions of the bilateral agenda, a disposition towards the further development of the Russian-Indian strategic partnership was outlined.

The leaders of the countries confirmed that they intend to meet at the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War in Moscow and during the BRICS and Shanghai Cooperation Organization summits in Saint Petersburg.
