OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump challenged the presidential election results in eight states, where he, according to official figures, lost to Democrat Joe Biden.

Speaking to his supporters in Georgia, Trump said that the Democrats consider that he’s complaining about the results of election in this state. “No, no. I’m complaining about eight states, and I think I’ll win them all,” he added. The incumbent head of the White House promised the audience that the situation would change in the near future.

The day before, a scandal erupted in the United States because of the publication of a telephone conversation between Trump and Georgia State Secretary Brad Raffensperger. The President allegedly persuaded Raffensperger to recount the votes in his favour and threatened him with criminal liability if he refuses.

In this regard, vice president-elect Kamala Harris accused Trump of abuse of power.
