Putin extended the duration of the maternity capital program

OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law extending the maternity capital program until December 31, 2030. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Prior to this, the program period was limited to December 31, 2026. The head of state himself had previously proposed extending it in his message to the Federal Assembly.
As it became known at the stage of approval by the Cabinet of Ministers of the relevant bill, from 2027 to 2030, about five million Russian families will receive the right to appropriate payments. Additional costs for the implementation of this social support measure in the specified period were estimated at 2.776 trillion rubles.
Since February 1, the size of the maternity capital has been increased, among other more than 40 payments and benefits. After indexing, its size amounted to 912 thousand rubles. It has grown by almost 80,000 year-on-year.
