OREANDA-NEWS  The inflation situation in Russia is gradually changing for the better, and there are trends towards improving macroeconomic indicators. This was stated by President Vladimir Putin at an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the State Council, RIA Novosti reports.

The meeting was devoted to the development of infrastructure for life. According to the head of state, the improvement of the main indicators in the economy will allow for the prompt implementation of all planned plans.

He stressed that such issues are the most important for life, including housing, "and the entire construction site in the broadest sense of the word, and roads, the resettlement of emergency housing, and so on." Putin noted that a lot of work has already been done, which is well reflected in the reports of officials presented to him at the meeting.

Earlier, the chairman of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, said that as of mid-spring, Russia is in the most difficult part of the way to reduce inflation to the desired level. Nevertheless, she hopes that in 2026 the price increase will reach the level of four percent.
