OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to India on December 4-5 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Kremlin's press service reported.
"This visit is important, it provides an opportunity to comprehensively discuss the entire extensive agenda of Russian-Indian relations as a particularly privileged strategic partnership in the political, trade, economic, scientific, technological, cultural and humanitarian fields, as well as to consider relevant international and regional topics. These issues will be the focus of the talks with the Indian delegation headed by Narendra Modi," the statement said.
There will also be a separate meeting between the Russian president and Indian President Droupadi Murmu, the Kremlin said.
"It means that following the negotiations, a joint statement will be adopted and a number of bilateral interdepartmental and commercial documents will be signed," the press service added.
