OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Space Systems Holding (RKS, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU) and Moscow State Technical University have signed an agreement on scientific and technical cooperation and the creation of a CubeSat-format small satellite system. This was reported by the state corporation.

The partners will jointly develop and manufacture satellites for various purposes based on the MSTU Cubesat platform. The university and the holding company will also work out technological solutions for existing multi-satellite groups.

In total, they plan to create about one hundred small CubeSat devices of size 6U. It is noted that this format will provide the optimal combination of the small weight of the platform and the volume to accommodate the target load. In addition, RKS and MSTU plan to develop various equipment for nanosatellites.
