OREANDA-NEWS Azimut Company (part of Rostec) and the T1 IT holding have created a joint venture, Multilect, which will develop domestic software and hardware complexes for solving data processing tasks, and the Azimut plant will become the main production site, Rostec said.
"Azimut Company (part of Rostec State Corporation) and T1 IT holding have created a joint venture, Multilect, which will develop domestic software and hardware complexes. In particular, new generation servers will be produced at its facilities," the report says.
An experimental line of equipment was presented at the CIPR-2025 conference in Nizhny Novgorod. The new domestic servers are built on the basis of a universal platform that allows flexible configuration of solutions for the tasks of data centers, high-load computing clusters and artificial intelligence, Rostec emphasized. Among the unique features of the development is the ability to accommodate up to 49 hard drives in a single enclosure. The equipment will significantly expand the amount of data storage without increasing the occupied space and will provide support for various technologies.
"Together with the leading companies of the IT market, Rostec companies are solving the state task of ensuring the technological independence of the domestic information infrastructure. Our work with T1 is aimed at the development and production of computing equipment that will replace foreign designs," said Asker Saidov, CEO of Azimut.
The project is focused on the B2B segment, primarily on state-owned companies and organizations. The products should also be of interest to industrial enterprises, banks, telecom and cloud providers, which will have to switch to domestic solutions, according to Rostec.
Rostec State Corporation is the largest engineering company in Russia. It unites over 800 scientific and industrial organizations in 60 regions of the country. The company is a key supplier of weapons, military and special equipment within the framework of the state defense order.
