OREANDA-NEWS  The military agreement between Russia and India is a signal to the world that the two powers will react together, said Grigory Karasin, chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee. He shared his opinion with Lenta.ru".

"It just shows the rest of the world that we and our Indian partners treat the adventures that can happen equally. And we show the whole world that no matter what inventions and adventures are being started in the world, we will always react calmly and with dignity with the Indian leadership, as agreed," Karasin said.

He noted that India and Russia never just come to an agreement, but proceed from the real state of things and affairs in politics.

"This is a good signal to those people who want to escalate the situation even more, to set it on fire. This is the sobering intention of the two major powers," the senator concluded.

Earlier it became known that the State Duma ratified the agreement between Russia and India on the procedure for the transfer of military personnel to each other's territories. The Agreement regulates the procedure for sending "military formations, warships and military aircraft of the Republic of India to the territory of the Russian Federation."
