On the sidelines of the International Fisheries Forum and the Exhibition of the fishing Industry, Seafood and Technology, the head of the department noted that the salmon industry in Russia is almost over, and its total catch is almost 1.5 times higher than last year. Now fishermen have already extracted 335 thousand tons.

Andrey Baranov, deputy head of Inarktika, previously warned that in the medium term, the cost of red fish in the world will grow by an average of four percent annually. The trend of increasing the price of this type of fish in the world is not new. Similar price dynamics have been recorded in the global market over the past few years. "Plus or minus, the price increase for red fish continues," Baranov explained.

According to Vitaly Kornev, head of the Association of Production and Trading Enterprises of the Fish Market, the cost of salmon in Russia has increased several times over the past ten years, but the situation may change in 2025. The fact is that fishing for this fish in the country in odd-numbered years is usually better than in even-numbered years, he added.
