OREANDA-NEWS  In April of this year, Russia doubled its purchases of fish from Turkey year-on-year. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, the total volume of seafood exports from Turkey to Russia in April 2025 amounted to $25.3 million, which is 2.2 times more than in April last year. On a monthly basis, shipments decreased by 25 percent.

Russia bought the most trout from Turkey ($13.7 million), as well as sea bass ($1.3 million) and sea crucian carp ($1.2 million).

Earlier, Alexander Tsybulsky, Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, said that import duties on Russian fish in the BRICS countries should be reduced.
