Russia has sharply increased pork exports to Georgia

OREANDA-NEWS Russia doubled pork exports to Georgia in June to the highest level since November last year, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti of data from the Georgian statistical service.
So, in early summer, Russian companies sold pork to the Georgian market for $ 2.4 million against $ 1.2 million. This was the second result in recent years, and it was higher only in November, when exports totaled $2.7 million.
Russia was the second main supplier of pork to Georgia, second only to Brazil. That, in turn, reduced exports by a quarter to $18.7 million. Kazakhstan closes the top three with 842.3 thousand dollars, although there were no supplies last year.
