Russians were promised an increase in pensions

OREANDA-NEWS In 2024, the average pension in Russia will be slightly more than 23.2 thousand rubles per month. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov, RIA Novosti writes.
The head of the department indicated that next year payments will be indexed in accordance with the projected inflation rate of 7.5 percent. Thus, the average pension amount was 23,244 rubles. Siluanov said that the total cost of payments will amount to almost 600 billion rubles.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Labor reported that more than 16 trillion rubles will be allocated for the payment of pensions, as well as insurance and social benefits in 2024.
According to the bill introduced earlier in the State Duma, in 2024 the average pension of working pensioners will amount to 22,605 rubles, having increased by 1,572 rubles as a result of recalculation. The average amount of pension provision for non-working pension recipients will increase by 1,631 rubles and amount to 23,449 rubles.
