OREANDA-NEWS  The concentration of hazardous substances in Vladivostok exceeded the norm of the World Health Organization (WHO) by 12.8 times. The IQAir portal reports on the air quality in the Russian city.

The content of PM2.5 solid particles in the air was 64.2 micrograms per cubic meter. Of all the types of pollution, PM2.5 poses the greatest threat to health, as particles less than 2.5 microns in size are so small that they can remain suspended in the air for long periods of time and penetrate deeply into the blood when breathing.

With such low air quality, it is recommended to use air purifiers, go outside less often and refrain from physical activity.

Earlier, the cities of Russia with the cleanest air became known. In 2024, Khabarovsk and Cheboksary entered the top with two units of air pollution per cubic meter.
